‘Made in Bharat’ should stand for the best, says Sadhguru at Coimbatore event | India News
Spiritual leader Sadhguru on Friday urged business leaders to ensure that “Made in India” becomes synonymous with quality, a strong national brand that benefits not just companies but every citizen.Addressing over 100 brand managers, business owners and C-suite executives at the Brand ‘Insight’ program at Isha Foundation’s center in Coimbatore, Sadhguru said, “You must ensure that ‘Made in India’ means the best. You must make a brand that is. We must make sure that the country’s brand is made, because not every business brand is made, when every country’s brand is made. The citizen’s brand is good.”The three-day leadership program from February 27 to March 1 is designed for branding and marketing professionals.Highlighting what he described as India’s improved global perception, Sadhguru said, “Many of you travel outside the country. Have you noticed in the last five to eight years, suddenly you present an Indian passport, people look at you with a little more respect than they did ten years ago? It’s brand building. India has consciously built its brand. And it can’t build such a big brand. Is that good enough. If India brand is built to a certain level, all other brands, all other brands will open doors very easily. It has to be.”He also said about branding in the context of yoga, “Branding is a part of impactfulness… Well, yoga is a great example of that – what it’s for, the spectacular level of impact it has on people and the effectiveness of how it works. Literally everyone in the world should be on it. But bad branding for a long time! We are trying to change the branding that I am variously accused of. Because something that has that level of effectiveness and has such a great impact on people’s lives, most people don’t know what it is.“The Brand Insight program, launched in 2023 and currently in its sixth edition, focuses on branding strategy, positioning and creative excellence through workshops and case studies. This edition is being facilitated by industry professionals.
