New Delhi: A 28-year-old woman was murdered by her husband, who slit her throat in the middle of the road, over a domestic dispute in Karnataka’s Kalaburgi district on Thursday, police said. Several similar videos were shared on social media as viewers caught the crime. The victim, identified as Sanvi, hails from Maharashtra. The incident took place near Balurgi village in Afzalpur taluk, news agency PTI reported.According to the police, accused Akshay brought his wife to the spot in a car, forced her down on the road and assaulted her. He died on the spot.Video of the incident, which was recorded by onlookers and circulated on social media, allegedly shows the man carrying out the attack in public. He was seen pulling her hair and beating her mercilessly.The accused fled in the same vehicle.A case of murder has been registered at Afzalpur police station, and an operation has been launched to trace and arrest the accused, officials said.
