The biopic of legendary singer and composer RD Burman is being made on a mega scale. This is one of the most talked about upcoming films of India, which is being produced by Kamal Jain. Neeraj Pandey is going to direct this film.

According to sources in Dainik Bhaskar, the producers of the RD Burman biopic are planning to make the film on a mega-scale, as a never-seen-before cinematic experience in India. The biopic is already making headlines as one of the most awaited films to come out of India. And it is natural that, in a country that lives for its music, there can be no bigger topic than bringing the extraordinary life and legacy of the greatest legend RD Burman to the big screen.

Filmmaker and director Neeraj Pandey is known for his acclaimed films like A Wednesday, Baby, Special and the blockbuster biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Producer Kamal Jain recently produced the highly successful period drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.

Dainik Bhaskar tried to contact the makers of RD Burman biopic, eminent filmmaker and director Neeraj Pandey and producer Kamal Jain to know about the prestigious star cast of the film. However, both the manufacturers were not available for comment on the subject.

Rahul Dev Burman, better known as RD Burman, was an Indian music director and singer, considered one of the greatest and most successful music directors of the Hindi film music industry. From the 1960s to the 1990s, Burman composed music for 331 films and took film music to new heights through his unique tunes. He worked extensively with great singers such as Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi.

RD Burman married Asha Bhosle in the year 1980. The pair together gave many superhit Bollywood songs and also did many live performances. He also worked extensively with renowned lyricists such as Majrooh Sultanpuri, Anand Bakshi and Gulzar and composed some of the most memorable songs of his career. Popularly known as “Pancham”, he was the only son of the great musician Sachin Dev Burman and his wife, Bengali lyricist Meera Dev Burman.
