
“The Embassy of India in Kuwait has condoled the tragic death of an Indian national due to an attack on a desalination facility in Kuwait yesterday. The embassy is coordinating with the Kuwaiti authorities to provide all possible assistance and support,” the Indian embassy in X said, confirming the first Indian death in Kuwait in the clash.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said a service building at one of its power and water distillation plants was damaged during the attack, state-run Kuna news agency reported. Officials described it as a ‘brutal attack’. The plant that was attacked has not been identified.
Ministry spokeswoman Fatima Jawahar Hayat said the strike resulted in the death of an Indian national, Gulf News reported.
