Numaligarh RefineryEnergy Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku told parliament on Monday that fuel reserves — not supply shortages amid the West Asian crisis — were the bigger concern.The fuel started arriving through the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline on Saturday evening and is expected to be fully supplied by Tuesday. Earlier, 15,000 tonnes were brought through the pipeline, followed by shipments of 5,000 tonnes from March 25, to meet demand in Bangladesh, heavily dependent on Gulf imports.Officials said the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation is prioritizing seaborne as well as pipeline imports, with supplies remaining stable.
