CM Saini of Haryana: Change of land use certificate online for 10 industrial hubs

New Delhi: Haryana is rolling out a policy to enable investors to get change of land use (CLU) certificates online for setting up industrial units in the upcoming 10 industrial model townships (IMTs) without visiting any government office, CM Nayab Singh Saini said on Saturday.Highlighting the state’s efforts over the years, he said that today 250 of the Fortune 500 companies have their offices in Haryana and new industrial cities will attract more of them in the near future. Saini said the state’s industrial infrastructure is being built with careful planning so that there is no problem in the next 50 years.He said that Haryana will play a major role in attracting investment after the India-EU trade agreement and members of the Haryana European Trade Association have welcomed it and shown more interest in further investment in the state. Recalling his meeting with trade associations, the Chief Minister said that the suggestions received from them would be incorporated in the upcoming state budget and all efforts were being made to make the state investment-friendly.Saini said the recent India-EU trade deal, dubbed the ‘mother of all deals’, came as good news for the industry. “Earlier when I met people in Panipat they were worried about high tariffs. Now that situation has changed.”On the state’s focus on tackling stubble burning and use of chemical fertilizers, the Chief Minister said that Haryana would soon establish its identity in natural farming and reduce chemical soil nutrients. “We appealed to farmers not to burn crop residue and due to our efforts, the incidence of stubble burning has reduced by up to 95%. We will eradicate this problem,” added Saini.Responding to questions on civic issues plaguing Gurgaon, which has become a hub for the corporate sector, the Chief Minister said a drainage plan has been drawn up for the low-lying areas of Gurgaon to drain Yamuna water and use it for cultivation after treatment at sewage treatment plants. He said a comprehensive plan has also been drawn up to ensure that Gurgaon does not suffer from drinking water shortage in the next 50 years.
