Passengers are flocking to buy tickets as the fare has increased

Airlines like Air India, IndiGo and Akasa Air have announced fuel surcharges on both domestic and international flights, increasing airfares on all circuits and forcing many to panic book tickets for their future travel plans, reports Joy Sengupta. A representative of a travel firm told TOI that the drop in oil prices should reduce airfares.
