CJI West Bengal SIR blasts petitioners for doubting integrity of judicial officers
Amid TMC-ECI trust deficit over revision of West Bengal’s voter list, a Supreme Court bench headed by CJI Surya Kant slammed cases questioning judicial officers appointed in Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand, saying it “will not tolerate” suspicion on the judiciary. The court asked the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court to constitute an Appellate Bench to appeal the claim, with the ECI bearing the costs.
