Elnaz Nawrozi Celebrates Khamenei’s Death; Iran Actress Statement

Actress Elnaaz Naoroji, who was seen in the web series Sacred Games, has expressed happiness over the news of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Regarding the news of Khamenei’s death, Iranian-origin actress Elnaaz Nooroji shared a post on Instagram Story on Saturday and wrote, “The news we were waiting for for 47 years has arrived. Khamenei is dead. God is the greatest.”

While sharing the news related to Ali Khamenei’s death in another story, Elnaaz wrote thank you and also posted happy emojis.

Elnaaz remained vocal about women’s rights

Elnaz Naoroji has spoken openly on women’s rights in Iran. In October 2022 he held a symbolic and controversial protest against Iran’s so-called ‘Morality Police’. She shared a video on Instagram, in which she was seen taking off many layers of clothes ranging from burqa. Through this step, he gave the message that a woman should decide for herself what to wear.

In the video, Elnaaz took off her clothes one by one, starting with the burqa, which symbolized that the restrictions imposed on women should be removed.

When mass protests broke out in Iran in September 2022 following the death in police custody of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, Elnaz openly supported the protesters. He had said that what happened to Mahsa, can happen to any woman.

Got recognition from Sacred Games

Elnaaz got recognition from Netflix’s web series Sacred Games, in which she played the character of Zoya. Apart from this, he worked with Gerard Butler in the Hollywood film Kandahar.

Elnaaz Naoroji has also been seen in projects like Devil, Hello Charlie, Jug Jug Jio, Rashtra Kavach Om, Abhay, Tehran, Made in Heaven.

Mandana made fun of the news of Khamenei’s death

Apart from Elnaaz, Iranian origin actress Mandana Karimi also reacted to the situation in Iran. Mandana made fun of the anchor crying on the news of Khamenei’s death.

Mandana wrote on Instagram, “There is nothing more comforting than seeing IRIB anchors crying and wailing while delivering the news of Khamenei’s death.

Let us tell you that Mandana Karimi is an Iranian model and actress, who has worked in Indian films like Bhaag Johnny and Kya Kool Hain Hum 3. She has also appeared in reality shows Bigg Boss 9 and Lock Up.

Ijaz expressed concern over the current situation in the world
