Dhurandhar 2 earns ₹500 crore worldwide: Earns ₹113 crore on third day, leaving behind Jawan-Baahubali 2 and Dangal
Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2 earned Rs 113 crore in India on the third day of its release i.e. on Saturday and the total collection of the film in three days including paid previews became Rs 339.27 crore. Released on March 19, the film earned Rs 500 crore worldwide and on the third day left behind big films like Jawan, Bahubali 2 and Dangal in terms of earnings. The film has so far earned approximately Rs 96.50 crore in foreign countries, taking the total worldwide collection of the film to Rs 501.04 crore. Three-day net collection in India: Paid preview shows (Wednesday): Rs 43 crore Thursday: Rs 102.55 crore Friday: Rs 80.72 crore Saturday: Rs 113 crore Total: Rs 339.27 crore Hindi version made record earnings on the third day. The film had 81.6% occupancy in 20,917 shows on the third day. The Hindi version earned the highest with Rs 105 crore. At the same time, the collection was Rs 5 crore in Telugu and Rs 2.95 crore in Tamil. Dhurandhar 2 broke the record of 7 films by making great money at the box office on the third day. Aditya Dhar’s film earned Rs 339.27 crore in just three days, out of which the Hindi version did a business of Rs 105 crore. If we compare, its first part ‘Dhurandhar’ had earned only Rs 51.60 crore on the third day. While Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ may have earned Rs 142.59 crore on the third day, its earning in Hindi on the first Saturday was only Rs 88.20 crore. Apart from this, figures of many big films also lagged behind. Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ collected Rs 33.93 crore in Hindi on the first Saturday, Yash’s ‘KGF Chapter 2’ collected Rs 42.90 crore, Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ collected Rs 82.46 crore and Prabhas’s ‘Bahubali 2’ collected Rs 46.50 crore on the third day. While RRR had earned Rs 31.50 crore, let us tell you that apart from Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar 2 also stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan. The film has been written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar. Along with this, Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar are also producers of the film. The film is presented by Jio Studios and made under the banner of B62 Studios. Dhurandhar had received a great response. It is noteworthy that the first part of the film Dhurandhar had performed brilliantly at the Indian as well as international box office. The film grossed approximately ₹1,307 crore worldwide. The film’s gross collection in India stood at ₹1,005.85 crore, while the net collection was approximately ₹840 crore. With this it became the highest-grossing Hindi single-language film in India. The film Dhurandhar got tremendous response in foreign markets also. It did a business of around ₹299.5 crore in overseas. Especially in America and Canada, the film left behind the record of ‘Baahubali 2’ by earning more than ₹ 193.06 crore. Interestingly, the film achieved this huge success even though it was not allowed to be released in the Gulf countries.
