New Delhi: During the discussion on the proposal to move Om Birla Congress member Gaurav Gogoi said this from the post of Speaker on Tuesday Kiren Rijiju Parliamentary Affairs Minister will be remembered as the one who most obstructed the opposition. His comments drew a swift response from the home minister, not Rijiju Amit Shah.Shah said it was true that the Parliamentary Affairs Minister had been the most obstructed, adding that it was because the country had never seen such an “irresponsible opposition”.
Gogoi’s comments came after Rijiju interrupted during his speech, saying it was a discussion on the speaker, and if the opposition spoke on other issues, “we will reply” they should not interrupt.
