Censor’s decision on Vijay Thalapathi film ‘Jana Nayakan’ tomorrow: Revising committee will do new screening, decision regarding certificate will be taken after watching the film.




The censor controversy regarding South cinema superstar Vijay Thalapathy’s most-awaited film ‘Jana Nayakan’ is not over yet. Before giving the certificate to the film, the revising committee of the Central Board of Film Certification is going to screen the film once again. According to India Today report, the committee will watch the film on March 17 and after that a decision regarding the certificate can be taken. The screening was initially scheduled for March 9, but was postponed after a committee member fell ill. Now a new date has been fixed and the production house has been informed about it. After this screening, the committee will decide whether the film should be given a certificate or some changes should be made in it. ‘Jana Nayagan’ has been stuck in the censor process for the last several months. The film was first presented before the examining committee. After some objections there, it was sent to the revising committee. For this reason, the release of the film kept getting postponed and fans had to wait for a long time. The film is directed by H. Vinoth. It is being considered a big budget action-drama film and in the industry it is being called one of the important films of Vijay’s career. Now everyone’s eyes are on the screening of the revising committee to be held on March 17. After this the situation regarding the release of the film can become clear. Actually, the film was earlier scheduled to release in theaters on January 9, 2026, but its release had to be postponed due to non-receipt of the censor certificate on time. After this the matter reached the court and the producers even fought a legal battle regarding the certification.
