Wankhede has been set aside by the CAT Relief High Court

New Delhi: Delhi High Court Setting aside relief from the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) has revived disciplinary proceedings against officer Sameer Wankhede in connection with drugs seized as part of a case in 2021.The 2008-batch officer came into the spotlight in 2021 for allegedly threatening to implicate actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan in the Cordelia Cruz drug bust case during his tenure at the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai. In its order last week, the High Court bench of Justice Anil Kshetrapal and Amit Mahajan approved the restrictions. In Wankhede, the Center allowed an appeal against the CAT’s order which struck down the action.
