Cabinet nod for Rs 33,660 crore plan to set up 100 industrial parks | India News

The parks, ranging from 100 to 1,000 acres (25 acres in hill and northeastern states), will be developed with ready-made infrastructure including roads, utilities and factory space, allowing companies to move quickly from planning to production.Officials said the project will be implemented through a partnership between the Centre, states and private players, with states expected to take the lead in sponsoring the projects. “We expect the state government to be the primary sponsor for the parks under the scheme… but the private sector may also come in for development,” said a government official.The Center will provide assistance up to Rs 1 crore per acre for roads, underground utilities, drainage, factory sheds, warehousing, staff accommodation and support facilities and more.
