Prime Minister Narendra Modi Through a post on social media on Saturday, he wished the countrymen Eid-ul-Fitr.In his message, he said, “Happy Eid-ul-Fitr. May this day bring more brotherhood and kindness all around. May everyone be happy and healthy. Eid Mubarak.”President Draupadi Murmu also greeted the citizens on the eve of the festival on Friday.In his message, he said, “On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens, especially Muslim sisters and brothers living in India and abroad,” adding that the festival “brings a message of love, brotherhood, peace and mutual harmony.”Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated all over the country after the moon sighting of the month of Shawwal. The festival marks the end of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim calendar.In Delhi, several devotees gathered at Jama Masjid to offer special Eid prayers on Saturday morning. The atmosphere was lively as people greeted each other and started celebrating.Jame Masjid and surrounding markets were very crowded on Friday as final shopping was done ahead of Eid.
