BJP: Mamata has become ‘law unto herself’ | India News
New Delhi: Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee Having become a “law unto itself”, the BJP said on Sunday, its allegation that the party is using President Draupadi Murmu for political reasons stems from a guilty conscience. “Commenting that we are using the President is shameful and nonsense,” the BJP said Ravi Shankar Prasad Said Murmu insisted there was nothing political about joining the Santal conference in West Bengal, sparking controversy.Mamata now fears that Santals are angry over the way she has treated the President and the way tribal functions have been organised, and this is behind her complaint, she said.He said that if the chief minister could not “respect” the country’s president, he should stop talking about saving the constitution. “Under Mamata Banerjee’s rule, only ‘ghuspaithye’ (infiltrators) are welcome. The door is open for them,” Prasad said.
