It is a gang of thieves, dacoits, goons and gaddars (traitors),” he said, adding: “Jo Darte Hai, Oh Marte Hai.” Jo Ladte Hai, Oh Kamyab Hote Hai (Those who fear, die. Those who fight, succeed).” Without naming him, he referred to the “betrayal” of Bharatpur MLA Humayun Kabir, alleging that there was an attempt to split votes in support of the BJP. Quoting a line popular in the movie Cooley, he said that results ultimately rest with the Almighty.Trinamool general secretary and Diamond Harbor MP Abhishek Banerjee echoed the message of unity, urging communities to celebrate each other’s festivals.
