Announcement of film on ‘Operation Sindoor’: Vivek Agnihotri will direct, K.J.S. The project will be based on Dhillon’s book




Bhushan Kumar and Vivek Agnihotri on Thursday announced the making of a film on ‘Operation Sindoor’. The film will be inspired by the actions of the Indian Army in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir after the Pahalgam terror attack. The film is based on Lieutenant General K.J.S. It will be based on Dhillon’s (retired) book “Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan”. It will be directed by Vivek Agnihotri. This project will be jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Agnihotri’s I Am Buddha Productions. According to the makers, India’s strength, courage and precise action will be shown in the film. Operation Sindoor took place in May 2025. Operation Sindoor was the Indian Army’s retaliatory action against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan on the night of 6-7 May 2025. This operation was carried out after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, in which 26 people died. The objective of Operation Sindoor was to destroy the terrorist hideouts responsible for the attack. Regarding the film, Bhushan Kumar said that this story has unfolded itself and it is necessary to show it responsibly. He called it an attempt to record an important event of the country. At the same time, director Vivek Agnihotri said that in-depth research was done for the film in collaboration with different departments of the Indian Army, so that the events could be understood correctly. Agnihotri also said that his effort is to present this story to the audience in the correct and original form. He talked about presenting it in a serious and accurate manner.
