Amarnath Yatra 2026: Amarnath Yatra 2026 has been announced. According to Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, this year’s annual pilgrimage will start from July 3, 2026. It will conclude on 28th August 2026 on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. This time this yatra will last for a total of 57 days, in which lakhs of devotees are expected to participate.
First puja and spiritual beginning
Before the formal commencement of the Yatra, a first puja will be organized to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. This special puja will be performed on the day of Jyeshtha Purnima, i.e. 29 June 2026. From this day onwards the spiritual environment is prepared for the journey.
Registration Process: When and how to register?
Advance registration is mandatory for the safety of devotees and crowd management. This year the registration process will start from 15 April 2026. Devotees can register themselves through both online and offline means.
Offline medium: Registration can be done by visiting 554 branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, PNB, SBI and Yes Bank located across the country.
online media: Registration facility will also be available through the official website and mobile app of the Shrine Board.
Health certificate is mandatory
Amarnath Yatra involves high altitude and difficult geographical conditions, hence Compulsory Health Certificate (CHB) issued by authorized doctors is required for registration. No passenger will be allowed to proceed without health checkup and valid permit.
Travel route and preparation
This yatra will be conducted through both the traditional Pahalgam route and Baltal route. The administration has already started finalizing the security, medical camp (langar), and accommodation arrangements for the devotees. Pilgrims are advised to keep warm clothes and essential medicines with them.
