Aamir Khan Denies Lahore 1947 Title Change Rumors

Recently, it was claimed in social media and many reports that the name of Sunny Deol starrer film ‘Lahore 1947’ has been changed to ‘Partition 1947’. But now the film’s producer Aamir Khan has declared these reports completely wrong and has made it clear that the title of the film has not been changed.
According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan said in a statement that the news coming out regarding the name of the film is not true. He said that the name of his film is ‘Lahore 1947’ and no changes have been made in it.
Actually, for the last few days there was a strong discussion on the internet that the name of the film could be changed to ‘Partition 1947’. Some reports also said that considering the current political environment of India-Pakistan, the word Lahore could create controversy, hence changing the name was considered. However, after Aamir Khan’s statement, these speculations have come to an end.
This film is being made under the direction of famous director Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol will be seen in the lead role. The special thing is that the pair of Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi had earlier given successful films like Ghayal, Damini and Ghatak. Because of this the audience has high expectations from this film.
The story of the film is based on the background of the partition of India i.e. 1947. This story is said to be inspired by famous writer Asghar Asghar Wajahat’s famous play “Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamya Hi Nahi”. It will show the social and human pain of that time, when lakhs of people had to leave their homes due to partition.
Along with Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Karan Deol and Abhimanyu Singh will also be seen in important roles in the film. The music of the film was composed by A. R. Rahman has prepared.
According to reports, the film is planned to release in theaters on August 13, 2026. At present, after Aamir Khan’s statement, it has become clear that the film will be released with its original name “Lahore 1947”.
