A tragic road accident took place near Nagla Daiviya in Magorra police station area of Mathura. Here the speeding Maruti Suzuki Franks car went out of control and overturned in the canal. In this accident, four youths traveling in the car died on the spot.
As soon as information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot and the rescue operation was started. The police pulled out the people trapped in the car from the canal, but by then everyone had died.
Speeding car overturns in canal
The deceased have been identified as Rahul Verma, Amit, Mohit and an unknown youth. Rahul Verma, age 23, was a resident of Baldevgarh locality of Mahavan and used to work as a tailor. Amit, age 23, was a resident of Premnagar Kalan, Mahavan and was a student. Mohit, age 22, was a resident of Baldevgarh Mahavan and was a law student.
According to the police, car number UP 85 CV 9856 is said to belong to Advocate Sajjan Singh, which was the car of Rahul Verma’s brother. All the youth had left Mahavan between 18:30 and 19:00 in the evening and were going to attend some program.
Police registered the case and started investigation
It has been told that among the dead, three youths belonged to the same family. There was chaos in the area after the accident. SP Dehat Suresh Chandra Rawat said that four youths have died after their car overturned in a canal in Magorra police station area. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated.
