Hearing on interim bail of Rajpal Yadav in High Court: Strict instructions to deposit 1.5 crore DD by 3 pm today otherwise hearing tomorrow

During the hearing on the interim bail plea of actor Rajpal Yadav in the High Court on Monday, an important debate took place regarding the payment of money. During the hearing, Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer told the court that his client is ready to deposit the amount of Rs 1.5 crore through FDR (Fixed Deposit Receipt). However, Justice Sharma made it clear that this amount will be accepted only through Demand Draft (DD) instead of FDR. The court also took on record that a demand draft of Rs 25 lakh had already been deposited. Apart from this, another DD of Rs 75 lakh was deposited earlier. The court clarified that now it is mandatory to deposit the remaining amount of Rs 1.5 crore in the form of demand draft by 3 pm today. Justice Sharma said during the hearing that if the entire amount is deposited within the stipulated time limit, Rajpal Yadav will be released on interim bail. However, if payment is not made within the stipulated time, the matter will be heard again tomorrow. During the hearing, the court’s stance appeared strict and it refused to give any relaxation regarding the method of payment. The court made it clear that the orders should be followed in the prescribed format only. The next hearing of the case has now been fixed at 3 pm today. All eyes are on whether the remaining amount is deposited within the stipulated time limit or not, because Rajpal Yadav’s interim relief will depend on this.
