Rajpal yadav did not get bail, the video which claims the same is 8 years old

A video of Rajpal Yadav, lodged in Tihar jail in a check bounce case, has recently gone viral on social media. It is being claimed with the video that the actor has got bail, after which he has thanked Salman Khan. However this claim is wrong. The video going viral is quite old.

In the video viral on social media, Rajpal Yadav is saying, ‘Salman Bhai is like an elder brother. Sitting at home with Salman Bhai, I feel very happy with him. There are very few people like Salman Bhai in our industry. He always stands for the people. And we have done 10-12 films with Salman Bhai continuously for 20 years. I am completely relieved and wish him well.

With this video it was claimed that Rajpal Yadav has got bail in the check bounce case, after which he has thanked Salman for providing financial help. However, fact check has revealed that this video is 8 years old. This video is from the time when Salman Khan got bail in the black buck hunting case. In this video of 2018, Rajpal Yadav is talking on Salman’s bail and not on his bail.

Rajpal Yadav will not get bail till 16 February

Rajpal Yadav’s bail plea was granted in Delhi High Court on 12th February. The actor’s bail plea has been rejected by the court. During the hearing, the court reprimanded the actor.

Delhi High Court asked Rajpal Yadav why he was demanding cancellation of the sentence. He himself admitted that he had borrowed the money and had promised to return it. In such a situation, on what basis is the demand to stop the punishment now being made?

In response to this, the actor’s lawyer said that he (Rajpal) had told the court on the same day that he wanted to resolve the matter. Rajpal Yadav has surrendered in the court to fulfill his promise. The actor wants to repay the Rs 5 crore that was invested in the film and till now more than Rs 3 crore has been paid.

The court reprimanded Rajpal Yadav and said that it does not understand why this debate is taking place. You had filed a petition and said that you would return the money, but then did not pay for years. Due to non-compliance of previous orders, you had to surrender in jail.

You were given 25-30 chances. Now why do you want to reopen this case? You have to explain why there was a delay in giving the money. I may sympathize with you, but the law is the law. If you are ready to deposit the amount then the hearing will be continued further.

Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer said that he is ready to deposit the money in the court, but is demanding bail because of a marriage in the family.

The next hearing on Rajpal Yadav’s bail plea is scheduled to be held on February 16. Till he remains in Tihar Jail.

Why is Rajpal Yadav in jail?

In the year 2010, Rajpal Yadav had taken a loan of Rs 5 crore from private company Murali Projects Private Limited to make the film Ata Pata Lapata. This film was a flop and Rajpal Yadav had to face financial crisis. Rajpal Yadav could not return the loan amount on time. The checks given by Rajpal Yadav to the company while taking the loan bounced, after which a complaint was lodged against the actor. Despite the agreement between the two parties, full payment was not made and with time interest kept getting added, due to which the total debt increased significantly.

In 2018, Karkardooma Court of Delhi convicted Rajpal Yadav and sentenced him to six months in jail. He then appealed to the High Court, where he got relief several times, as he had given assurances of payment and settlement.

Before surrender the actor said- I have no money

Just before surrendering, Rajpal Yadav had said that he did not have money to return. When he went to jail, Sonu Sood appealed to the industry to unite and help the actor. After this many people came forward to help Rajpal Yadav. Many people like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan, David Dhawan gave financial help to the actor.
