Similarly, the case of Abdus Salam Pintu is also there. He has also been a minister before. He was also convicted in the same grenade attack and given death sentence. He was also accused of supporting an organization linked to several attacks in India. Later the court acquitted him of all charges. Now he is reaching Parliament after winning the elections with a huge majority. This raises the question whether allegations of the past no longer matter in politics.

The third leader is ATM Azharul Islam. He was accused of large-scale killings and atrocities against women during the 1971 war. He was also sentenced to death. But the Supreme Court later acquitted him. Now he is also reaching Parliament after winning the elections.
