The purpose of this meeting is to bring partner countries around the world on one platform, so that cooperation can be increased to secure the supply of critical minerals. These include essential substances like lithium, cobalt, nickel and rare earth elements, which are important for everything from electric vehicles to defense systems and renewable energy infrastructure.
The meeting is also considered important because China has increased its control on the export of critical minerals. Till now, China has been controlling the supply chain of critical minerals. Foreign Minister will host the meeting of India-Arab Foreign Ministers before going to America
India will host the second India-Arab Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on January 30-31. Foreign Minister Jaishankar will host this meeting. More than 10 foreign ministers and deputy foreign ministers of Arab countries will participate in the meeting, including Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Ghait.
