The new building was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on July 25 in Orai tehsil of Jalaun district of UP. Angered by not being allotted the chamber, Sub Collector (Judicial) IAS Rinku Singh Rahi reached Nai Tehsil at around 3 pm with a loader full of files, documents and shelves. Due to not getting a chamber in the scorching heat, he stood outside the premises for hours and after not getting a chamber, he decided to stay outside the whole night. After this, on receiving the orders of the Additional District Magistrate, he took the goods and returned to the old office located in the Collectorate premises.

Even after the office was transferred from the Collectorate premises to the new tehsil, the IAS officer did not get a chamber to sit. Angered by this, he loaded all his government goods, important court items, important files and cabinets in the loader and reached Naveen Tehsil. When the chamber was not found vacant there, he clearly said that until the chamber is not allotted, he will stay outside the Tehsil premises even at night.
Return on the orders of Additional District Magistrate
Considering the seriousness of the matter, an order was immediately issued from the Additional District Magistrate’s office. Under the order, instructions were given to conduct the work of SDM (Judicial) from the old office located in the Collectorate complex. As soon as the order was received, IAS Rinku Singh Rahi got his luggage loaded again in the loader and returned to the Collectorate premises. Various types of discussions are taking place among the administrative staff and the public regarding this entire incident and the working style of the new tehsil.
There was a demand to pay half the salary
IAS Rinku Singh Rahi of the year 2023 batch was earlier in the news for writing a 5-page letter to the appointment department of Uttar Pradesh. He had written in the letter that on the post of SDM Judicial, there is only 4 hours of work in a day, hence he should be given only half the salary. In his letter he had mentioned the name of a cabinet minister and MLA. He had alleged that in front of the MLA, the DM had given orders not to take action against illegal encroachments. Apart from this, after a conspiracy was hatched to investigate the cold storage of a minister close to him after the Lucknow fire incident, he was hastily transferred from SDM Jalaun to the post of SDM Judicial.
