Actor-turned-politician Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay’s last film Jana Nayakan has been released worldwide yesterday i.e. on 23rd July. On this occasion, his rumored girlfriend Trisha Krishnan had come to watch the first day first show. Trisha, who was spotted outside the theatre, refused to talk about it, while her mother emotionally said that she will miss seeing Vijay on the big screen.

Trisha Krishnan’s mother Uma Krishnan also came to watch the film. Speaking to ANI on Vijay’s last film, he said, I feel very bad, we will miss him a lot.

Trisha got stuck in the crowd after coming to watch the movie

Trisha Krishnan had come with her friends to watch Jan Nayakan. While leaving after watching the movie, Trisha was surrounded by the crowd, after which the actress was seen struggling to reach the car.

The police also had to struggle to save the actress and her friends amidst the crowd of fans.

Shortly after watching the film, Trisha shared a photo with friends, the caption of which was, ‘We came out alive’. It was written on the film, ‘One last time, one last dance, the madness of Jan Nayakan.’

The film collected more than Rs 40 crore on the first day

According to the report of industry tracker website Sacknilk, Vijay’s film Jan Nayakan has collected a net collection of Rs 42.70 crore across the country on the first day.

Vijay’s last film Jan Nayakan got postponed due to censorship

Let us tell you that Vijay had announced his retirement from films after Jan Nayakan last year. This film was earlier scheduled to be released in January 2026. However, due to censorship the film has now been released after getting postponed.

Before the release of the film, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the fans of Thalapathy Vijay. Many of his fans from abroad have come to India to watch the film. Large cutouts of Vijay were installed outside many theaters in the South, where fans kept dancing for hours.

Being Vijay’s last film, ‘Jana Nayakan’ was not just a release but an emotional occasion for crores of fans. It was expected that this film would give a memorable farewell to his long cinematic journey. But director H. Vinoth makes it more of a political message than a story and a medium to shine the star’s image.

The result is that at times the film leaves entertainment and starts looking like an election speech. Vijay’s presence certainly garners applause, but the weak script and excessive length reduce the impact of the film. The length of the film is 3 hours 3 minutes.
