The production house, which holds 50 percent rights of the film, has filed a lawsuit of Rs 250 crore against Jio Studios, which is making the sequel. Phantom Studio has recently filed a lawsuit of Rs 250 crore against Jio Studio in the Bombay High Court, alleging that Queen 2 is being made without permission. According to a Mid-Day report, Phantom Studios has 50% rights of the film ‘Queen’, which also includes the rights to make a sequel to the film. The company claims that it has not yet given its consent for any sequel, adaptation or derivative work. A reply was sought before filing the lawsuit. According to the report, Phantom Studios tried to talk to JioStar several times to resolve the dispute, but no request was responded to from their side. Meanwhile, the shooting of ‘Queen 2’, which went on the floors at the beginning of the year, has been completed and now the post-production of the film has also started.
