SIR के मुद्दे पर डीके शिवकुमार का स्टैंड राहुल गांधी से अलग क्यों? – rahul gandhi sir issue dk shivakumar congress karnataka india bloc ntcpmr
The process of SIR i.e. Special Intensive Review has started in Karnataka. Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and his wife Usha Shivakumar have filled the SIR form. And also, DK Shivakumar has appealed to all the people of Karnataka to definitely fill the form, so that their voting rights are preserved.
Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar He has described the right to vote as the right to life, and has also warned that losing the right to vote can lead to problems in getting the benefits of government schemes. DK Shivkumar says that BLOs are going door-to-door and distributing forms related to SIR process.
The statement of the Karnataka Chief Minister seems to be going against the party line of the Congress. Congress and Rahul Gandhi So are opposing SIR. Congress along with 23 opposition parties of the country has sent a letter to CJI Justice Surya Kant, complaining about the alleged manipulation in SIR and election results, and has sought intervention from the judiciary.
Karnataka DK Shivakumar’s support to SIR in
Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s appeal to the people of Karnataka seems as if he is recommending SIR. DK Shivakumar seems to be the first Chief Minister from the opposition camp who is openly supporting SIR. Before issuing the appeal, DK Shivakumar himself along with his wife has filled out the form and submitted it.
DK Shivkumar has clearly said that to retain the right to vote, it is necessary for all voters to fill and submit the form on time, otherwise the name may be removed from the voter list. On the concerns being expressed about digital literacy, DK Shivakumar admitted that many people may not be comfortable using online platforms. DK Shivkumar said about himself, I myself do not use the app, and have taken the help of others for this. Those who cannot use the online facility can collect the form from the BLO (Booth Level Officer) and submit it offline.
Praising the simple process of SIR, DK Shivakumar has explained that to make it easier, only one member of the family can fill the forms on behalf of the entire family and can also sign the forms. He said, through the SIR process, voters can update their personal information including their registered mobile number, name and photo. If the voter’s mobile number has changed after making the Voter ID card, it can be updated during the SIR process. And yes, people who have completed 18 years of age can make a new Voter ID by filling Form-6 of the Election Commission.
According to the Chief Minister, the SIR process will start from June 30 and will continue till July 29, and it is the responsibility of every voter to fill the form and submit it along with the necessary documents and their new photo within 30 days. Voter list will be released on 5th August. Let us tell you that the next assembly elections in Karnataka are to be held in 2028.
BLOs appointed by the Commission will visit every house and give forms for SIR. He clearly said, ‘If you get the form but you do not submit it, you will lose your voting rights. It is the responsibility of every voter to fill the form and submit it along with the necessary documents and their new photograph within 30 days. After this, the draft voter list will be released on August 5.
Also, DK Shivakumar has warned that those who lose their voting rights may face problems in getting government benefits in future. west bengal Giving examples of states, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar says, only voters are being given ration and other facilities. And he warns that even in Karnataka, those who do not fill the form may face problems in getting guarantee schemes like Griha Jyoti and Griha Lakshmi, pension and other government benefits.
The way and the extent to which DK Shivakumar is insisting on SIR, it seems as if he, being the Chief Minister of the Congress, is endorsing SIR rather than opposing it – and this is not a good sign for the Congress leadership.
And, INDIA BLOCK is protesting
Congress holds the undeclared leadership of the INDIA block. This has become confirmed after the defeat of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal Assembly elections and DMK in Tamil Nadu along with the victory of Congress in Kerala. Congress didn’t even care about DMK. Mamata Banerjee At present, there is no option left for Congress except accepting the leadership of Congress in the opposition – there is no one to question Rahul Gandhi’s leadership.
Aam Aadmi Party and DMK have declared themselves completely separate from the INDIA block, but the letter written by 23 parties under the leadership of Congress to the Chief Justice of the country has been signed by the leaders of both the parties.
According to the report, 23 opposition parties have sent a letter to CJI Justice Surya Kant and appealed for the intervention of the judiciary, alleging the process of SIR, the alleged biased attitude of the Election Commission and manipulation in the election results. Although parties like Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress are with Congress in India Block, the signing of the letter by DMK and Aam Aadmi Party is more important.
The Indian Express, quoting sources, has said that the main theme of the 4-page letter is the process of special intensive revision of voter lists across the country and its alleged misuse by the Election Commission to benefit the ruling party at the Centre. According to one such source, we have appealed to the judiciary to intervene because when all other avenues are closed, the hope of Indian democracy lies with the judiciary. Our letter gives specific examples from different states showing how the SIR is allegedly being misused. The main theme of the letter is the SIR, but it also mentions other alleged election-related irregularities and examples from different states.
Meaning of DK Shivakumar’s stand
In protest against SIR, Rahul Gandhi has gone on Voter Rights Yatra with opposition leaders in Bihar. Slogans like ‘Vote chor, Gaddi chhod’ have also been raised. Have done press conference with case study. Not during the election campaign, but after the results of West Bengal elections, they have raised serious questions on the election process by supporting Mamata Banerjee’s allegations.
In such a situation, on one hand, Congress is still running a campaign against SIR along with the opposition parties, and on the other hand, from the words of Congress Chief Minister DK Shivkumar, it seems as if he is warning in a strict tone that if the name is not in the voter list, the government facilities provided to the people will be stopped like BJP and NDA ruled states.
Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar says, the welfare schemes of the state government are for the residents of Karnataka… Our guarantee schemes are for the people of Karnataka… Why should the benefits of schemes made for Karnataka be given to the people of other states? Our intention is that the benefits of these schemes should reach only the people of this state.
Even though DK Shivkumar is talking about ‘other states…’, it sounds as if he wants to say ‘infiltrator’. In the SIR context, the word ‘infiltrator’ is used by BJP leaders, it would not be politically correct for DK Shivkumar to say so, hence he is avoiding it.
The question is whether DK Shivakumar is doing all this from his own heart? Has the high command given permission to DK Shivakumar to do this? Can DK Shivakumar’s stand be linked to ‘Pro-BJP’ or Shashi Tharoor’s political line?
