Be it crowding in trains during festival season and summer holidays or any examination, Indian Railways operates special trains for the convenience of passengers. In this series, keeping in mind the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), the Railway Administration has decided to run unreserved examination special trains for the convenience of the candidates. CPRO of North Eastern Railway Sumit Kumar informed that the Railways has announced to run special trains so that the candidates can reach their examination center without any hassle.
Let’s see the list of exam special trains
> Train number 05031 Gorakhpur-Lucknow Jn. Unreserved Examination Special train will run from Gorakhpur at 18.30 from 03 to 05 July, 2026. Which will leave Khalilabad at 19.12 hrs, Basti at 19.39 hrs, Babhnan at 20.22 hrs, Mankapur at 21.00 hrs, Gonda at 22.02 hrs, Colonelganj at 22.35 hrs, Barabanki at 23.30 hrs and on the second day, it will leave Badshahnagar at 00.04 hrs and will reach Lucknow Jn at 00.35 hrs.
Whereas, in return, train number 05032 Lucknow Jn-Gorakhpur unreserved exam special train will run from Lucknow Jn at 01.30 from July 02 to 04, 2026. Which will leave from Badshahnagar at 02.02 hrs, Barabanki at 02.46 hrs, Colonelganj at 03.17 hrs, Gonda at 04.02 hrs, Mankapur at 04.34 hrs, Babhnan at 05.15 hrs, Basti at 05.50 hrs and Khalilabad at 06.20 hrs and will reach Gorakhpur at 07.30 hrs.
These trains include 10 General Second Class/Sleeper Class and S.L.R. A total of 12 unreserved coaches will be installed including 02 coaches.
> Train number 05149 Varanasi City-Gorakhpur Unreserved Examination Special train will run from Varanasi City at 19.30 from 01 to 03 July, 2026. Which will leave from Aurihar at 20.45 hrs, from Jakhaniya at 20.45 hrs, from Mau at 21.25 hrs, from Belthara Road at 21.58 hrs, from Salempur at 22.22 hrs, from Bhatni at 22.45 hrs, from Deoria Sadar at 23.28 hrs and on the second day from Chaurichaura at 00.01 hrs and will reach Gorakhpur at 01.00 hrs.
Whereas, in the return journey, train number 05150 Gorakhpur-Varanasi City Unreserved Examination Special train will depart from Gorakhpur at 02.00 from July 02 to 04, 2026. Which will leave from Chaurichaura at 02.38 hrs, Deoria Sadar at 03.14 hrs, Bhatni at 03.37 hrs, Salempur at 03.53 hrs, Belthara Road at 04.22 hrs, Mau at 05.04 hrs, Jakhania at 05.41 hrs and Aurihar at 06.25 hrs and will reach Varanasi City at 07.15 hrs.
This train has 12 general second class/sleeper class and 12 S.L.R. A total of 14 unreserved coaches will be installed including 02 K coaches.
> Train No. 05152 Azamgarh-Ballia Unreserved Exam Special Train will depart from Azamgarh at 19.30 hrs from 01 to 03 July and depart from Sathianv at 19.47 hrs, from Muhammadabad at 19.57 hrs, from Khurhat at 20.06 hrs, from Mau at 20.50 hrs, from Indara at 21.00 hrs, from Ratanpura at 21.14 hrs, It will leave Rasra at 21.26 hrs, Chilkahar at 21.37 hrs and Phephna at 21.47 hrs and will reach Ballia at 22.00 hrs.
In the return journey, train number 05151 Ballia-Azamgarh unreserved examination special train will run from Ballia at 22.15 hrs from 01 to 03 July, 2026. Which will leave from Phephna at 22.29 hrs, from Chilkahar at 22.50 hrs, from Rasra at 23.04 hrs, from Ratanpura at 23.19 hrs, from Indara at 23.36 hrs, from Mau at 23.50 hrs, on the second day from Khurhat at 00.06 hrs, from Muhammadabad at 00.21 hrs and from Sathianv at 00.33 hrs. Will reach Azamgarh at 01.15.
This train has 15 general second class/sleeper class and 15 S.L.R. A total of 17 unreserved coaches will be installed including 02 coaches.
> Train No. 05154 Azamgarh-Ballia Unreserved Exam Special train will depart from Azamgarh at 13.00 hrs from 02 to 04 July, from Sathianv at 13.14 hrs, from Muhammadabad at 13.24 hrs, from Khurhat at 13.34 hrs, from Mau at 14.15 hrs, from Indara at 14.26 hrs, from Ratanpura at 14.41 hrs, It will leave Rasra at 14.54 hrs, Chilkahar at 15.06 hrs and Phephna at 15.17 hrs and reach Ballia at 15.45 hrs.
In the return journey, Train No. 05153 Ballia-Azamgarh Unreserved Exam Special train will depart from Ballia at 16.15 hrs from 02 to 04 July, 2026 and depart from Phephna at 16.26 hrs, from Chilkahar at 16.38 hrs, from Rasra at 16.51 hrs, from Ratanpura at 17.04 hrs, from Indara at 17.19 hrs, from Mau at 17.50 hrs. It will leave from Khurhat at 18.03 hrs, from Muhammadabad at 18.12 hrs and from Sathianv at 18.21 hrs and reach Azamgarh at 19.00 hrs.
This train has 15 general second class/sleeper class and 15 S.L.R. A total of 17 unreserved coaches will be installed including 02 coaches.
When is UPTET exam?
UP TET 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts from July 2 to July 4. The first shift will be from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon and the second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. First the upper primary level examination will be conducted. After this, primary level paper will be conducted. The examination will be conducted at designated centers in many different districts of the state.
