According to relatives, he had reached Swamibagh area by rickshaw at around 8 pm on Monday night. Meanwhile, some people kidnapped Subhash and held him hostage in a house.

The family had also paid 20 thousand taka, while the remaining amount was to be paid the next morning. Subhash suffered serious injuries during this torture.
On Tuesday morning Subhash somehow escaped from there. According to the police, he jumped down from a part of the building, due to which his leg and hip were broken. After this he reached his roommate, who immediately admitted him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Doctors say that he will have to undergo surgery.
According to the police, the student told in the complaint that he was kept hostage in a house in Swamibaug. The case is being investigated. On the other hand, the temple committee member clarified that Subhash is not the permanent priest of the temple. He used to assist in religious rituals only when necessary. This incident has no connection with the temple.
