In Faridabad, Haryana, 28-year-old businessman Rahul committed suicide by hanging himself in his shop. Before committing suicide, Rahul posted a video on Instagram, in which he made serious allegations of mental torture against his wife and in-laws. After the video surfaced, the police have started investigating the matter and the allegations made in the video are also being investigated.
According to the police, on Sunday morning Rahul had left his home for his readymade clothes shop after meeting his mother. After some time, information was received that he had committed suicide by hanging himself inside the shop. Police reached the spot after receiving information and took possession of the body and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem.

In the Instagram video released before his suicide, Rahul accused his wife Jyoti, mother-in-law Veena, father-in-law Bittu and sister-in-law Neetu of mentally torturing him. He claimed that he used to do all the household work like sweeping and cleaning utensils, but despite this he was beaten up and false cases were registered against him. Rahul said that he was living under mental stress for a long time.

In the video, Rahul also said that his wife and in-laws are responsible for his death and action should be taken against them as per law. He also expressed his last wish that after his death his property should be given to his mother, sister and brothers.

According to Rahul’s family members, he had a love marriage with Jyoti about two years ago. The family alleges that after marriage, his wife did not want him to live with his parents, after which Rahul started living separately. Family members say that he had started a new clothing shop about four months ago.

Rahul’s family member Amit alleged that Rahul was under mental stress for a long time due to harassment from his wife and in-laws. He also says that Rahul’s wife had also filed a case against him, due to which his problems had increased further. The family alleges that he was not even allowed to meet his parents.
Investigating officer of the case, Sanjay Kumar said that the police has sent the body for post-mortem and the entire case is being investigated. He said that the viral video on social media has also been made a part of the investigation. All the allegations made in the video will be investigated on the basis of facts and further legal action will be taken after the completion of the investigation.
