Admission Dean Haneet Gandhi said that registrations have started in the first phase. The second phase will definitely start by next week. He confirmed that this year about 71,600 seats for undergraduate courses are available in the colleges of the university. Admission to 73 undergraduate programs and over 100 BA program combinations offered in 67 colleges will be based solely on CUET-UG 2026 scores, provided they meet the programme-specific eligibility criteria.

Students can register in this way

Candidates can register on the CSAS portal using their CUET-UG 2026 application number only. The university said that to reduce data-entry errors and enhance security, important information of candidates (such as name, date of birth, photo and signature) has been auto-integrated through the Government of India API bridge. The university has fixed a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of Rs 250 for unreserved, OBC-NCL and EWS category candidates and Rs 100 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.

After the first phase, you will have to participate in the second phase.

After completing the first phase, candidates will have to participate in the second phase. In this stage they will map their CUET test paper with the subjects studied in class 12th and submit their preferences for program and college combination. Before preparing for seat allotment, universities will decide the eligibility of the candidates on the basis of this subject mapping. The schedule of the second phase will be announced soon.

What did the students say?

When students were talked about this, they said that as soon as the registrations started, they are feeling both hopeful and anxious about getting admission in their favorite colleges. Aniket, a candidate from Delhi, said that Political Science is his favorite course and Hindu College is on top in his list of choices. He said that my CUET score is good, so I am hopeful that I will get the college of my choice, but I am still very nervous about whether I will get the college of my first choice. Everyone wants a top college, so there is always uncertainty.

The University has advised candidates to read the Undergraduate Bulletin of Information and CSAS (UG) 2026-27 Guidelines carefully before completing the registration process and keep checking the admission portal regularly for further announcements.
