The court has sent all the eight accused arrested in the case of embezzlement of offerings in Ram temple to judicial custody till June 29. Officials said on Friday that the hearing of the case was held in the court of Special Remand Magistrate Nivedita Singh due to Muharram holiday.

According to news agency PTI, prosecution officer K.C. Verma said that at present the police has not sought police remand of the accused. All the accused will be produced again in the court on Monday, June 29, where the police can seek their custody (custodial remand).

The accused arrested in this case include Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramshankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava and Ramshankar alias Tinnu Yadav.

Rs 79 lakh recovered so far

According to the prosecution officer, Rs 79.85 lakh has been recovered so far during the investigation. He said that apart from the relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS), sections related to the Prevention of Corruption Act and criminal breach of trust by public servants have also been imposed on the accused, because the accused were performing public responsibilities and are accused of embezzlement in donations.

According to PTI, investigation has also revealed that five to six of the arrested accused are bank employees. these Ram Mandir They were deployed to count the cash offerings coming in and were receiving salary from the bank. However, so that the investigation is not affected, the authorities have not yet made public the personal identities of these bank employees.

Officials said that Ramshankar alias Tinnu Yadav was not a bank employee, but was working as a driver. Subhash Srivastava has been said to be in charge of the entire process of counting the offerings.

FIR has been registered on the basis of preliminary report of SIT.

This case is related to the alleged embezzlement of cash and valuables offered by devotees in the Ram temple. An FIR was registered in this case on the basis of the preliminary report of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Uttar Pradesh government. At present, this entire episode is being jointly investigated by SIT and Ayodhya Police.

Investigating agencies say that all aspects related to the case are being thoroughly investigated and further action will be taken on the basis of evidence.
