The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said through its official X account that on June 14, a US Navy search and rescue helicopter helped rescue 14 Indian sailors in the North Arabian Sea.

According to the Central Command, the US Navy’s ‘P-8’ surveillance aircraft first reached the spot. He dropped a search and rescue kit into the sea, which also included a life raft. All 14 Indian sailors boarded this life raft.

After this, a ship named MV Jabal Ali 9 reached the spot and safely evacuated 11 sailors from the life raft.

According to news reports, an MH-60 Sea Hawk helicopter deployed on the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier rescued three other sailors among the 14 sailors whose life rafts capsized due to bad weather and high waves.

Later, all three were also taken to MV Jabal Ali 9, where their condition was good and their morale was also high.

According to the information given by the Embassy of India on X, the engine of a motor boat had broken down off the coast of Muscat. After this the crew members saved their lives by safely boarding the life raft.
