For this purpose, the Supreme Court has fixed the minimum value of ‘domestic care loss’ at Rs 30,000 per month. The court said that this domestic contribution of the woman must be included in the rules for calculating her ‘future earnings’ in compensation claims and her ‘future contribution’ to the development of the family and the country.
Instructions to Chief Justice of High Court to provide justice on time
The bench said that this principle is in addition to the standards set in earlier decisions. The Supreme Court has expressed hope from the Chief Justices of all the High Courts of the country that they should themselves monitor such cases.
