The people from the girl’s side demanded cash from the boy’s family and gold mangalsutra, ring, anklets, clothes and other things for the bride and finalized the marriage.
The boy’s side prepared all the things and went to Bihar for the wedding. Went Reached the district. The girl’s side had called the boy’s family to Dariyapur village in Belaganj. When the boy’s side reached the village, the girl’s side demanded a fixed amount for the marriage. After this, the groom Ganesh Saav gave the fixed amount of Rs 1 lakh ten thousand to the bride’s side.
Late on Monday night, all the wedding rituals were completed as per Hindu customs. After this, the bride’s side fixed the time of farewell of the bride on Tuesday. The groom’s family was made to stay at a place in the village for the night. The next morning, when the groom reached the bride’s house to bid farewell with his family, he found that it was locked and the bride and her family were missing.
People from the groom’s side searched the bride and her family in and around the village, but no one was found. When the groom realized that he had been cheated and cheated, he informed the police by dialing 112. Along with this, a complaint was lodged in Belaganj police station.
The groom’s elder brother told that we came here from Rajasthan. Brother’s marriage was arranged by a woman named Paro, resident of Koderma. When we came to Belaganj from Gaya, that woman took us to Dariyapur village, 15 kilometers away from Belaganj. We reached there at 11 pm. After this the woman said to get married quickly, otherwise there will be trouble if the villagers wake up. On this we said that marriages do not happen like this. There are rounds and rituals in it.
After an hour, the brother’s marriage was arranged with the girl and he was told to take rest in the car itself. Where will we go with the girl so late at night? How will a girl go wearing such heavy clothes? Let’s get it changed. Saying this he took the girl inside the house. We had given gold and silver to the girl and Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand as a boon.
When a few hours had passed since we were sitting in the car, we sent our wife to look at that house and there was no one there. Neither the bride nor her family members were there. They had all disappeared. The name of the girl who was married was Lakshmi. The name of the woman from Koderma who was getting the marriage done was Paro. We have applied to the police station regarding this entire matter. We have been cheated a lot in the name of marriage.
