आखिर किन परिस्थितियों में हुई प्रतीक यादव की मौत? डॉक्टर ने बताई असली वजह – prateek yadav death disease explained medical advice ntc mkg

Prateek Yadav’s death created a storm of questions, speculations and conspiracy theories. It was continuously being claimed on social media that his death was due to the use of steroids. The reason was also clear. Prateek was a big gym lover. His body was very strong and muscular. But the real story is much more complex, painful and emotional than what is happening on social media.

India Today has had an exclusive conversation with the doctor who, for the last several years Pratik Yadav Was treating. He spoke to us on the condition of anonymity. From the conversation with him and the post-mortem report, it has become clear for the first time the circumstances under which Prateek Yadav died.

A disease that most people have never heard of

About five years ago, Prateek Yadav had gone to the doctor complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath. From outside he looked completely fit and healthy. But the disease revealed during investigation changed his life. Prateek had DVT i.e. Deep Vein Thrombosis. This is a disease in which blood clots start forming in the deep veins of the body. Usually these clots form in the veins of the legs.

DVT disease can be controlled, but if a clot breaks and reaches the lungs, a fatal condition like pulmonary embolism can occur. Such patients are given blood thinners for a long time and are kept under constant medical observation. Prateek was also going through the same process for the last five years. He was taking medicines regularly under doctor’s supervision.

He was examined from time to time. Till April 29, everything seemed normal. But suddenly the situation changed. After talking to the doctor on phone, Prateek Yadav himself reached the hospital. When the doctor examined him, she was horrified to see his condition. He had severe chest pain. Was feeling short of breath. felt dizzy. Without any delay, he immediately admitted him to the ICU.

During the treatment for a few days, the condition seemed to be stable. Between constant monitoring and medicines, it seemed that the situation was getting better. But then everything changed on May 1.

LAMA: Two letters changed everything

On May 1, Prateek told the doctors that he wanted to leave the hospital and go home. In medical language, when a patient leaves the hospital against the advice of doctors, it is called LAMA. That means leaving the hospital against medical advice. This is not normal discharge. In this, the patient leaves the hospital on his own responsibility, ignoring the advice of the treating doctors.

The doctor explained to Prateek in clear words that leaving the ICU in his condition could create problems. But Prateek had made up his mind. Perhaps the environment of the ICU was troubling him mentally. The constant beep-beep sound of the machines, the constant coming and going of the nursing staff and the suffocating routine of the ICU were making him restless. He just wanted to go home. Wanted to be near his children.

During this period, his wife Aparna Yadav was constantly with him. He explained a lot to Prateek Yadav to stay in the hospital. Every possible effort was made to ensure that he remained in the hospital until the treatment was completed. But neither the doctors nor the family could stop him. Eventually he signed the papers and left the hospital.

Treatment was going on at home also

Even after leaving the hospital, Prateek Yadav’s care continued. Three nursing staff were deployed at his home round the clock. The doctor was in constant touch with the nursing team and was getting information about Prateek’s condition. The nursing staff confirmed that he was taking his medicines regularly. The doctor’s last direct conversation with Prateek was on 3 May. After that his contact remained only through the nursing staff.

Then suddenly the news came. On 13 May 2026, at 5:55 am, Prateek Yadav was declared dead in the Civil Hospital of Lucknow.

What does the post mortem report say?

There is no mention of steroids in the post-mortem report available with India Today. There was no indication of consumption of any kind of intoxicant or drugs in the report. According to the report, Prateek Yadav died due to cardio-respiratory failure due to severe blood-breathing blockage in the lungs i.e. muscular thromboembolism. That means the blood clot that was being controlled for five years finally broke.

Why were there injury marks on the body?

Six injury marks have been recorded on the body in the post-mortem report. These marks were found on the chest, right arm, right wrist, elbow and left wrist. According to the report, these injuries occurred before death and were related to two separate incidents. The first injuries were about 5 to 7 days old. These were applied when Prateek had fallen at home and was later brought to the hospital on 29 April.

Due to his serious condition, his CT scan was also done. The other injuries were about a day old. These were taken during his last moments at home when he fell again. Doctors were aware of both the incidents. According to doctors, Prateek was taking anticoagulant or blood thinner medicines for a long time. In patients taking such medicines, even minor injuries appear deeper and more serious than in normal people.

This is the reason why injury marks were more clearly visible on his body. Doctors made it clear that it would be wrong to link the injuries to any conspiracy or attack.

Histopathological and chemical investigation continues

Thromboembolic material recovered from the heart and lungs during post-mortem has been preserved for histopathological examination. Apart from this, the internal organs of the body have also been preserved for chemical examination.

A man who just wanted to go home

Prateek Yadav was only 38 years old. Were fit. Were young. And perhaps he did not believe that the situation could be so serious. He lived with DVT for five years. Took medicines. Got the investigation done. Kept the disease under control. Perhaps for him, going home from ICU for a few days did not seem like a big risk. They thought he would be fine.

But this did not happen. His biggest wish was to be with his children. He probably had no idea that coming out of the ICU on May 1 would prove to be the last decision of his life. And this is the most silent and painful truth of this entire story.

There are no steroids in this story. There is no mysterious conspiracy. There is just a sick person, who was tired of the hospital machines, the suffocation of the ICU and the continuous treatment. He just wanted to return to his home. But sometimes the haste to return home demands a greater price than life itself.
