A very painful incident came to light on Thursday from Kairana town in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, where a woman’s attempt to set herself on fire amid a family dispute led to the death of her two innocent daughters. The room filled with smoke as soon as the fire broke out
According to the information, 30 year old Anita, resident of Kairana town, wife Jassi, was present in a room of their house on Thursday. It is being told that due to some domestic dispute, he set himself on fire while sitting on the bed in his room. As soon as the fire broke out, the room quickly filled with smoke. At that time, Anita’s two daughters, 10 year old Vandana and about one and a half year old Jaspreet were also present inside the room.
Due to the room being closed, the smoke could not come out and both the girls started suffocating. Within some time both of them became unconscious. As soon as information about the incident was received, nearby people reached the spot and the police were informed. On receiving the information, the police and local administration team immediately reached the spot and all three were taken to the hospital.
Daughters died, mother’s treatment continues
After examination, doctors in the hospital declared Vandana and Jaspreet dead, while Anita’s treatment is going on. His condition is said to be serious. Police have sent the bodies of both the girls for post-mortem.
Kairana Area Officer Hemant Kumar said that in the initial investigation the matter seems to be related to a family dispute. Police are interrogating nearby people and family members so that the real reason behind the incident can be revealed. It is being told that the woman’s husband was not present at home at the time of the incident.
After this tragic accident, there is mourning in the entire locality. Neighbors say that no one had thought that a domestic dispute would take such a terrible turn. At present the police is investigating keeping every aspect in mind.
