Some vendors have accused the makers of Akshay Kumar starrer film Bhoot Bangla of not making payments. It is claimed that the vendors owe Rs 48 lakh to the film’s production company Balaji Telefilms. These claims have come to light when Ekta Kapoor is expressing happiness while celebrating the success of the film. According to Mid Day report, vendors working in Bhoot Bangla have said that the payments are stuck for several months. Once a film is released, it is difficult to get money. Getting payment cleared within 90 days has become a thing of the past now. According to the report, Balaji Telefilms has not made payment to two vendors. The production house has to pay Rs 30 lakh to one vendor and Rs 18 lakh to the other vendor. A vendor, who has been waiting for his Rs 18 lakh for many months, has expressed his displeasure and said that this happening in such big budget films is a sign of the situation getting worse. Writer also made allegations of non-payment. Apart from vendors, the film’s writer Pranjal Kripalani had also sent a legal notice to producers Alok Kumar Choubey and Sanjay Gupta for stopping the payment of Rs 50 thousand. Talking to the portal, a crew member also said that the producer was short of funds during the shooting in Bhopal in January. At that time, the hotels where they were staying also could not be paid for a long time, due to which the crew was kept there till the payment was completed. In the report quoting Balaji Telefilms, these claims of the vendors have been rejected. The production team says that not only Bhoot Bungalow but the payments written in the contracts of people associated with all the projects of the production have been cleared. Bhoot Bangla earned Rs 232 crore at the box office. Akshay Kumar starrer film Bhoot Bangla has been released in theaters on 17th April. This film has so far collected Rs 232 crore worldwide. Recently, the film’s producer Ekta Kapoor shared pictures with Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan and thanked them for the success of the project.
