The latest case has come to light from Umapur village of Gevrai tehsil, where after marrying eight times, a girl trapped a young man from Umapur for the ninth time and extorted lakhs of rupees from him.

Some agents mediated for the marriage of a young man from Umapur. Lakhs of rupees were taken from the young man in the name of arranging marriage. After this the wedding took place as per the formality, but after some time the real face of the bride and the agents accompanying her came to light. Investigation revealed that the girl with whom the young man got married was previously married to eight different people. Every time this gang used to run away with money and jewelery a few days after the marriage.

The youth of Umapur, who became a victim of this fraud, is now in trouble. He complained about this matter to the SP. In the application given by the youth to the SP, he has said that he has been cheated of lakhs. Now there is no option left for me. I want justice.

The young man said that the marriage was arranged by keeping him in the dark. This was the ninth marriage of the girl who got married. A complaint has been lodged at Chakalamba Police Station regarding this entire matter. The youth says that this gang is ruining the lives of the youth by creating one bride and many grooms.

This gang especially targeted those youths from rural areas who face difficulty in finding brides for marriage. Youths are targeted through this gang agents. Lakhs of rupees are collected citing poverty and the bride disappears a few days after the marriage. Based on the complaint, the police is now searching for other members of this gang.
