A tragic accident has come to light in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh amid a storm. A woman who had gone to pluck vegetables in the fields died after a tree fell on her. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the area after the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police and revenue department teams reached the spot and necessary action was initiated.
This accident took place in Kakrai village of Ajitmal Kotwali area. The police have taken the body into custody, filled the Panchnama and sent it for post-mortem, while further action is being taken by the Revenue Department.
Weather changed during field work
According to the information, Preeti (32) had gone to the fields with her husband to pluck vegetables. During this time the weather suddenly changed and heavy storm and rain started. To escape the bad weather, Preeti went and sat in a hut built in a nearby field.
After some time, due to a strong storm, a mango tree standing nearby uprooted and fell directly on the hut. Preeti got seriously injured after being buried under the hut and died on the spot. The incident created panic among the family and villagers.
Police and revenue team reached the spot as soon as information was received
As soon as information about the incident was received, Ajitmal Tehsildar, Accountant of Revenue Department and police team reached the spot. The police took possession of the body, took action to fill the Panchnama and sent it for post-mortem.
The Revenue Department said that further action is being taken and after the report comes, the process of providing compensation to the victim’s family will be completed. After the accident, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire village and the family is in bad condition, crying.
