Police raided the place where adulterated tea leaves were being made. During this time, the police also recovered a large quantity of adulterated tea leaves and the materials used to make it. Police found a large number of finished packets, raw materials and packing machines.

During the raid, the accused also prepared fake tea leaves and showed them to the police. For this he used things like synthetic color and jaggery juice.

Initial investigation revealed that these people used to mix substandard ingredients in genuine and branded tea leaves. Used or expired tea leaves, synthetic colours, jaggery juice and wood sawdust were often used for adulteration.

The accused used to prepare fake packets of renowned companies. These packets were filled with adulterated tea and sold in the market as genuine tea. These people used to supply adulterated tea leaves at low prices to local hotels, small shops and dhabas.
