Former TMC MP and actress Nusrat Jahan appeared before the investigating agency ED in Kolkata. An investigation is going on against him in a case related to a property scam. Nusrat Jahan was accused of fraud on the pretext of providing flats to senior citizens in Rajarhat. This matter is of the year 2014-15. BJP leader Shanku Deb Panda had lodged a complaint directly with the ED office. ED had sent summons to Nusrat in connection with the investigation of this case, after which she appeared for investigation.
In his complaint lodged in the ED office, Shankudeb Panda had claimed that the TMC MP Nusrat Jahan He is one of the directors of real estate company 7 Sense International.
The BJP leader had claimed that about 429 employees of the Indian Overseas Bank were cheated in exchange for giving them apartments on the outskirts. Along with the promise of providing a house, the company had also taken a huge amount as down payment from the customers.
Buyers’ money lost!
Now 7 Sense International Company of Kolkata is also under the purview of ED investigation. However, till now, none of the buyers from whom the real estate firm had promised to give them the apartments after taking money, have not even received their money back.
After the matter gained momentum, BJP leader Shankudeb Panda had made many claims in a conversation with Aaj Tak. He had said, “This is a big scam. TMC MP Nusrat Jahan is associated with the company which took Rs 5.50 lakh from people. The company was started in 2014, but after taking money from the buyers, no flat has been given to anyone till now.” He had also said that even the local police was not registering a complaint in this matter, then finally the cheated people had to approach the court and this matter came into limelight.
