Based on serious and sensitive issues like marital rape, patriarchy and women’s consent, this series is shocking the audience. The acting of actor Siddharth Shaw, who played the character of ‘Arun’ in the series, has filled the hearts of people with hatred towards him. Due to which he is facing a lot of criticism on social media.
But seeing the harsh and violent character on screen, people are hating Siddharth, its reality is something else. Recently, in an interview given to ‘Film Gyan’, actress Prasanna has made a big revelation about Siddharth.
Siddharth started crying in the middle of the shoot
That was the most controversial and heartbreaking scene of the series. In which Siddharth’s character i.e. Arun forces himself on his wife Pooja (Prasanna) during their wedding night. Prasanna told that shooting this ‘marital rape’ scene was so emotionally heavy for Siddharth that he cried on the set itself.
The actor, who appeared as a violent husband on screen, started trembling just by imagining that scene in real life. The condition became such that Siddharth was unable to control himself and the shooting had to be stopped midway so that he could feel normal.
What did Prasanna say?
Actress Prasanna told in the interview that during the shooting of the film, full care was taken of security and she also had an ‘intimacy coordinator’ present. He said, ‘We did complete rehearsal before shooting the scene. It was exactly like a dance choreography, the steps of which were already decided. We both knew each other for five years and were quite comfortable. But as soon as the camera turned on and the turn of that painful scene came, Siddharth started trembling badly. We had to take a break for him to feel better. After this he was shot.
When Siddharth was asked about that moment, what was going on in his mind? So Siddharth said, ‘I really don’t know what happened to me at that time. I wish I knew. We had practiced everything, we were friends, yet after reaching that point I could not control myself. As a human being it was very scary. Siddharth also told that even when he watched this film later, he could not stop his tears.
