A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh. Here a couple allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train due to opposition from their families. This incident happened near Bhagirath railway station on Wednesday, which shocked people. At present the police is busy investigating this entire matter.
According to the agency, the age of both the young men and women were between 20 to 22 years and they wanted to marry each other. However, their families were against this relationship, due to which both were under mental pressure. It is being told that for this reason he took this dreadful step.
According to eyewitnesses, both of them reached the railway track holding hands and as the Nautanwa-Gorakhpur Intercity Express was passing by, they jumped in front of it. Both of them died on the spot after being hit by the train.
Nautanwa police station in-charge Purushottam Rao said that as soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody and sent them for postmortem. Later, after completing the process, the bodies were handed over to the relatives. There is chaos in the families after this incident.
Police say that in the initial investigation the matter seems to be related to love affair and family opposition. However, the matter is being investigated keeping all the aspects in mind.
According to local people, the two were in a relationship for a long time and wanted to get married, but the marriage could not take place due to social and family pressure. Regarding this entire matter, police officials say that investigation is being done.
