‘सैयारा’ फेम अनीत पड्डा की बहन ने धुरंधर को बताया प्रोपेगेंडा, प्रियंका चोपड़ा पर भी साधा निशाना – Aneet Padda sister Reet Dhurandhar propaganda Criticizes Priyanka Chopra Palestine tmovg
Reet Padda, sister of blockbuster film Syayara fame Anit Padda, shared some stories on Instagram on Friday. In which he showed some comments. In these comments, she was replying to a user and stood firm on her point that films like ‘The Kashmir Files’, ‘The Kerala Story’ and ‘Dhurandhar’ are propaganda.
Apart from this, in his comments he Priyanka Chopra Also criticized. In which Priyanka did not raise her voice in support of Palestine during her speech at the Oscar ceremony. She said that if her sister Aneet ever gets such an opportunity and if she also goes there and stands there like a ‘dodo bird’, then she will be the first to criticize her sister.
User raised question on Reet
According to the screenshots of the comments shared by Reet, a user named ‘deadhuzzcameback’ is seen questioning Reet’s views. He wrote, ‘I found your account through Aneet (I really admire his work), and to be honest, your thoughts were surprising.
‘Kashmir Files’, ‘Kerala Story’ or ‘stalwartCalling films like ‘Propaganda’ just because they don’t match your ideology feels dismissive; Especially when they are based on real events or events inspired by them. It’s okay to disagree with something, but it’s not okay to deny the facts… And if you expect Priyanka to take a stand on the Palestine issue (she has done a lot for Palestine by providing aid etc.), then maybe you should encourage Aneet to do the same, since she is now stepping onto a global platform. Accountability should not be selective.
What did Reet Padda write?
To this Reet replied, ‘Normally, I don’t pay attention to this, because frankly changing someone’s mind here is like teaching calculus to cats. But, since you have been so generous and have spent your precious time reacting to all my posts, big and small, I thought, why don’t I respond too?
Explaining why he feels ‘Dhurandhar’ is a propaganda film, Reet wrote, ‘In the case of Dhurandhar, it really works as a narrative in favor of the government. It uses political rhetoric to justify ‘minor disruptions’ like demonetisation. Will this be called propaganda? Yes. Will you deny this? no way.’
He also talked about the problems of films like ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘The Kerala Story’. He wrote, ‘These films appear to use creative math: eg, ~32,000 women converted to Islam. Whereas the actual cases are only a few hundred. But, that’s how propaganda works, right? Take a small piece of truth, mix it with fabricated and exaggerated statistics, and suddenly you have a complete narrative against one community.
Reet also said that these films could have been fine, but the real problem is that the films which are against the government’s agenda, do not even get a chance to be released. He wrote, ‘Yes, I have no problem with such films… if there was not one small problem, that films like Punjab 95—which actually raise political issues, but deviate from the script written by the ruling party—would not have got a chance to be released.’
Question raised on Priyanka
Questioning Priyanka Chopra’s attitude during the Oscar ceremony, Reet wrote, ‘She got the opportunity to oppose an illegal war by standing with a person who had given her stand on that issue… but she could not step forward and do anything on that occasion. If my sister gets such an opportunity—and Inshallah, true Patshah, Jai Shri Ram—I pray that she understands the delicacy of that opportunity and if she stands there silently like a ‘dodo bird’, I will be the first to criticize her.
