Detective Clay Anderson told local media that as the investigation progressed, there were indications that the alleged kidnapping for ransom was in fact nothing more than a deliberate conspiracy between the victim and the criminals.

Thirty police officers took part in the operation named ‘Smokescreen of Likes’ to investigate this matter. Officials said that apart from Fraga, three other people were also involved in this fake kidnapping.
