Amidst the success of Dhurandhar 2, actress Yami Gautam is once again in the headlines for her different decisions. He recently revealed that he deliberately kept his personal life away from the limelight, which also affected his career.

During a conversation with Pinkvilla, Yami Gautam told that even in the times of overexposure in the industry, she chose the path of remaining private. Yami said that she was greatly influenced by what a senior actor said – “The less people know you, the easier it is to make them believe in your character.”

He admitted that this decision was not easy. Many times she felt that if she had brought out more of her personal life, it would have been easier for the filmmakers to convince her for the role. That means visibility in the industry also plays an important role in getting work.

The actress also made it clear that she never wanted to make her personal life a part of promotion. His focus always remained on the script and character. According to Yami, she chooses roles that challenge her as an actor and give something new to the audience.

Yami also said that the industry is changing with time and now content and performance are getting more importance. This is the reason why he is getting strong roles even without much publicity.

Talking about work front, Yami Gautam is in discussion these days with her husband Aditya Dhar. After the film ‘Dhurandhar’ made under the direction of Aditya Dhar, now ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has been released in theatres. Which is getting good response from the audience. The film has collected more than Rs 200 crore including paid previews and earnings till the second day.
