Government issued reinstatement order
The official order for the reinstatement of IAS Abhishek Prakash has been issued by the Uttar Pradesh government. This order was issued by IAS Vijay Kumar, Special Secretary, Appointment Section-5. According to the order, Abhishek Prakash will be considered reinstated in service from March 15, 2026.
The government has clarified that the period till March 14, 2026 will be considered as suspension period. After this, the order of his return to service will be effective. The government has also said that despite reinstatement, departmental action will continue against him.

Abhishek Prakash was reinstated in service by the Uttar Pradesh government a day earlier. After this, he has now been given the responsibility of Secretary, General Administration. There were continuous discussions going on at the administrative level regarding his posting.
It was told that IAS Abhishek Prakash was suspended in the commission case while he was the CEO of Invest UP. After investigating the matter, his suspension has now been revoked and he has been given new posting. Let us tell you that Abhishek Prakash was suspended on 20 March 2025 after serious allegations of corruption. He was accused of demanding 5% commission from a company named ‘SAEL Solar P6 Private Limited’ through a middleman. This major action was taken after investigation on the complaint of the company representative.
Allahabad High Court in February 2026 Lucknow The bench gave a big decision in this case. The court admitted that there is no concrete evidence to confirm the allegations made against Abhishek Prakash. Due to lack of evidence, the court completely quashed the charge sheet filed against him, paving the way for his reinstatement.
